Let the Beauty of Jesus be seen in Me

Let the Beauty of Jesus be seen in me,

All His wonderful passion and purity.

Oh Thou Spirit divine, or'e my nature refine,

Till the Beauty of Jesus be seen in me.

"The Power of the Cross"

Oh, to see the dawn of the darkest day.
Christ on the road to Calvary.
Tried by sinful men,
Torn and beaten,
then nailed to a cross of wood.

This, the pow'r of the cross.
Christ became sin for us.
Took the blame, bore the wrath,
We stand forgiven at the cross.

Oh, to see the pain written on Your face,
bearing the awesome weight of sin.
Ev'ry bitter thought, Ev'ry evil deed
crowning Your bloodstained brow.

Now the daylight flees;
now the ground beneath quakes
as its Maker bows His head.
Curtain torn in two,
dead are raised to life;
"Finished!" the vict'ry cry.

Oh, to see my name
written in the wounds,
for through Your suffering I am free.
Death is crushed to death;
Life is mine to live,
won through Your selfless love.

This, the pow'r of the cross:
Son of God—slain for us.
What a love! What a cost!
We stand forgiven at the cross.

Sonshine and Company!!!!!!!

Yippee!!!! The very first Sonshine and Company event of the year was today at a Middle School in Lincoln. Susie, Nicole, Kristen, and I drove out in the truck (Sam, and Tiffany and Kimberly McClellen met us there) and set up the shaved ice and cotton candy. It was a little different because we allowed the middle schoolers to pour the flavored syrup over their cones. Yikes! What a MESS!! Most of the time I helped Nicole with the cotton candy, but later I was needed to help with the shaved ice and oh my! I made so many trips to the bathroom and back with washrags sopping in syrup that I had used to wipe off the table. yuck! :-)
Nicole was saying....(in this picture she really was!) "you know the thing
that Grace does that annoys people the most? ......yeah.....taking pictures." ; )

After we were all packed up and finished, we spent another hour watching Sam try to fix the tail lights on the ice trailer. Finally after a lot of sweat, blood, and.........spit. :-D (the last two very literally!) :-P Sam got it to work! yay! CiCi's or bust! lol Please leave a comment if you have never been to CiCi's before!!! I've probably been there more than any other sit down resturant! And every time with friends who are in some way related to CEF! Too fun. ;-) We of course, had a pretty fun time there. And didn't leave to head home till almost 8pm. A very enjoyable day! : )

P.S. Wish I had some pics of Sonshine and CO. to share....but I left my camera in the truck which was parked a ways away. : ( I'll be sure to get some up here another time!

Happy Birthday Aunt Theresa!

Yesterday, some of my family went to a nice, quiet afternoon birthday party for my aunt at the Kopsa's. Yes, she was surprised. : ) -Jennifer lighting the candles-
-All the "kids" stood in line to give Aunt Theresa birthday kisses. : )-
-She blowing out her 5 candles. The four white candles stood for the four decades she has made it to, and the 5th pink candle stood for one year into 40...so 41 years! I still say she looks like she's only 35!-

-Sweet Julia Kopsas enjoying the frozen berries and cream that we had with the cake. yum yum!-

-Lydia and Sarah dishing up the berries and cream-
-Kyle Kopsa enjoying his cake-
-Ben-
-Mom n' Lydia-

-James David wanted his picture taken real bad ;-)--A close-up of one of the flowers in the bouquet that Mom and I brought Aunt Theresa-

The afternoon was very peaceful. The kids went outside and enjoyed playing football in the yard while the rest of us had a nice chat around the dinner table.

The Kopsas are very enjoyable company! : )

Here's an awesome quote that has really challenged me lately.
"Apart from God nothing matters. We think that health matters, that freedom matters, or knowledge or art or civilization. And for one insistent word they would matter indeed. That word is Eternity." -A.W. Tozer

Definately something to think on....

Good friends, good times

Hmmm....I am all of a sudden recalling why I quit blogging last year....
It takes soooo long to upload just one photo!

Anyway, I'm just posting some random pictures of good friends and good times in the last six months or so.

Above, left to right: Me, Brittany, and Liz at a RR game in KC last month

Miranda n' me in Caleb D.'s car on the way to Illinois for the skiing trip in Feb. What a blast!

There! A pretty picture of my cousin, Ellie. *sigh*....I'm missing her SOO much! For those of you who don't know, she and Zach (her brother ) left for Africa last Saturday for 6 weeks. They went with my cousin Louis and his wife Amber and baby Meredith. Louis and Amber are going as full-time missionaries starting an AIDs orphanage and Ellie and Zach were able to come along.

I'm already going crazy without Ellie! It was hard saying goodbye. I cried a bunch....she's always been there for me since we were babies (no joke!) and now she's gone for a while, but if God wills, she'll soon be back! I'm praying for her lots and hoping that she can Zach can make an eternal impact on those precious kids! If you think of them, please pray for concerning that and also for their continued safety.

One of our last times together
(at the capitol building) before Ellie left.

My sweetly pink team during
the Scavenger Hunt at
Miranda's fantastic party! : )

Ok, so I know a lot of you may "croak" at this black n' white picture to the left, but I thought it was absolutely adorable!! Couldn't pass it up. Don't you think it's just as cute as can be???

Here we were in "Tickle Pink" an totally girly store!
So fun! We certainly enjoyed poking around and being just plain GIRLY! : )

Hey!

Guess I've decided to start blogging again. (thanks Anna for the motivation ;-)
Please be patient with me and in return I'll do my best to post at least a couple times a week. As always, I appreciate comments!
Thanks and have a blessed night.
